Family Caregiver Support Group offered
A support group specially designed for caregivers and their families will be offered at the Area Agency on Aging office, 531 E. 15th Street, Joplin.
The group will meet from 5:30 to 7:00 pm the second Wednesday and last Thursday of every month. Each session per month will have a similar theme. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 5:30.
Topics will include overcoming challenges and barriers, positive stress release techniques, and learning how to positively redirect the individual they’re caring for. For more details about the program, please contact Teresa Rife, Family Caregiver Coordinator, at 781-7562, ext. 19.
